“Beast” had planned to do a Mad Monster Museum in the yard, but the Fire Department did not approve. However, we still want people to have a good time this year. Beast put up his Sawyer Shack for photo ops. You may feel free to pose with it in your costumes any time you like. If you are in the neighborhood, come by on Halloween for candy and take selfies with all the decorations.

Always closed on Sunday because ‘Beauty’ needs a day off.
We understand that our Extended hours for Halloween may Confuse people – AND the internet – because they change every week. Here is the October Calendar of hours for your convenience.
Check out the newly stocked Bargain Accessory wall! It has a little bit of everything including masks, hats, headpieces, make up, wigs and shoe spats. On the right, you can peek into the new dressing room area.
Best choice for a center piece is Classic Halo 3 Master Chief. If you look closely, you’ll even see that his side kicks are looking even better on their new head stands, hand made by “Beast”.
New Peek is the Celebrity side. Lots of familiar faces are now price reduced by 25% – 50%.
Susan and Jeff Stringer, the OG Beauty and the Beast, have been working hard to bring you the all new Bargain Boutique! “Beast” has been doing all the heavy lifting tearing out the two dressing rooms that were always just a little less ‘secure’ out of one room and moving them into another. Both have been painting and decorating. “Beauty” has been delving into the stock rooms and whipping out the red pen to fill the room with first time discounted items all the way down to as much as 90% off (or “Free to a Good Home”) items. We think you’re going to love it!
There will be so much more to come, but you’ll have to check back!
As they always say, when it comes to renovations you either have the Time or the Money to do it, but rarely both at once. That’s holding true for Beauty & the Beast Costumes, Chattanooga. I have always wanted to move all of the changing booths into one room, but was always to busy. With the COVID Quarantine keeping our customers away, we started the project. The main show room will be open this summer. However until the construction is finished, we will not have a place to try on the costumes or access to the clearance section nor the restroom. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope to have a beautiful new Family Style Changing area by Fall as well as a fresh, new face on some of the other areas as well.

I want to share these on my Instagram – you know – the one I started but never used… Yeah, that one.

If you want to be a part of making sure that Beauty & the Beast Costumes, Chattanooga is always there to serve you, let us and the world know! Send a photo or video, preferably wearing or using something you bought or rented from us, to BeautyandBeast@Email.com with a note about why you like to shop here or how we helped you finish a project and a mailing address to get your free mask while my elastic supply lasts. Current colors available as shown. The one with dragons is supposed to be ‘child sized’ because it’s shorter top to bottom, but turned out wider side to side. *shrug* Making masks was a learning curve.
We will be offering curb side service on Good Friday, April 10th, Saturday the 11th and Monday the 13th for locals who are finding creative ways to keep Easter fun for the kids in small groups. In the wake of COVID-19, most of our church, corporate and company clients have canceled their Bunny rentals for obvious reasons. However, one church has already called in to confirm they Do want their reserved costume to deliver baskets to their member’s homes. A couple of Moms have called asking for Bunnies for their families. One even suggested a Block Party type celebration as long as social distancing is observed. The bunny can at least walk around and wave, or maybe leave candy in mailboxes. Be Creative! Be Careful. Stay SAFE & HEALTHY.
We are taking advantage of this time of social distancing to catch up on some sewing. Starting off with making new knickers (short, slightly puffy pants) for Lion King Jr. as these always seem to be in high demand and short supply for everything from pirates to colonial men, Arabians for Aladdin, French providential towns folk for Beauty & the Beast or chimney sweeps for Mary Poppins.
Everyone stay safe out there and pray that things return to normal soon. We’ll be here when you need us.
The much Anticipated Merhon shipment is HERE! Hurry in to see all the brand new colors of our extremely popular Creamblend Sticks.
There is no way for color charts to show the true depth of rich, creamy colors. In a giant leap forward, Mehron has discontinued all of it’s “Ruddy” undertone shades which have been the staple for use under harsh theater lights for generations. With modern stage lighting and electronic image capturing, those pink to redish colors are no longer needed to keep performers from looking washed out.
Fear Not! Your favorite colors, including the Olive (OS), Eurasia, Ebony and Contour shades are still available. Beauty & the Beast will be offering the discontinued colors at a deep discount as long as they last for artist who enjoy them.
YES! Beauty and the Beast, Chattanooga also carries most of the specialty colors as well as all the flesh tones. However, we no longer stock the Light and regular Auguste clown colors as their popularity is dropping as newer colors arrive. We also dropped the Purple as the pigment is not stable causing the color to fade / drain away very quickly even when it is kept in the dark.
