Description
The King of Siam has many wives and children. The total number of wives in any production depends on how many performers are available. Beauty and the Beast Costume Shop can provide over two dozen wives and an equal number of children, mostly female. In order to make the higher ranking wives (those with names, lines or specific actions) stand out in the crowd, we normally use a skirt and shoulder sash overlays instead of the sari. We have a wide range of colors and sizes in the regular skirts, but only one each of the light blue (Junior size) for Tuptim and one burgundy organza (Standard size) for Lady Thiang. Each of these skirts have a little extra trim and rhinestones at the hem. We also have 14 other solid color skirts with the antique gold trim at the hem.
