Syn and Star

Syn is a male goblin with long brown, spiral curling hair that falls below his shoulders.  Star is a female goblin with long, wavy, red hair down to her waist.  They are lifelong friends, traveling companions, adventurers, and occasionally lovers. They live far apart but find ways to communicate. They enjoy walking through markets, sharing good food, discussing things they do when apart, and planning what kind of adventures they will have when they get together again.

My favorite image of the pair created by OpenAI shows Syn and Star sharing goblin sashimi. I prefer the rendering’s realistic yet romantic / fantasy style.

This image of Star is one of the first tries to generate an attractive, athletic redheaded goblin female.  I still think she’s the most attractive.  However, Syn prefers her hair down.

The ‘green-eyed monster’ image shows Star’s jealousy over Syn’s attention to another goblin girl who is infatuated with him.  While the art style of this image is a bit less realistic to that of the first image,I do not like the reddening of the nose and ear tips.

Train Ride is the only cartoonish image that I enjoy so far. When describing Star’s general body build, I confused the AI and had to start over to get to this point. The body build for both characters is acceptable, and it also got the hair length correct for both.   However, this image was supposed to show how silly it would be for two goblins to be riding on the MARTA train.  As mentioned, I prefer the art style and more barbaric garb demonstrated in the first two images.  I hoped to get one that made the two look far less comfortable. It’s a play on the ‘fish out of water’ feeling of nervously starting a new adventure in an unfamiliar situation.  I would like to see Star clutching Syn’s hand or arm to steady her resolve as he scans their surroundings for possible threats.

Sadly, I did not think to save the AI’s first try to draw this situation because  I was very amused by their nervous looks.  Syn’s hair was braided and he was twisting the end of it.  While the real person who inspires the charactor would never braid his hair, it was very amusing.
